Event Information
Clowns Without Borders sends entertainers into areas that have recently seen conflict and strife to give children victimized by events beyond their control a piece of their childhoods back. In early 2009 we heard that Clowns Without Borders was trying to raise money to send three clowns to entertain children in South Sudan, a war-torn region of Africa that has known a grand total of 15 years of peace in the past 55 years. The event featuring acroyoga demonstrations, glowspinning by dozens of performers, several clowns, and some of DC and Philadelphia's finest DJs. The event put Clowns Without Borders over the top, finishing the financing of the trip in time for the three clowns to travel in May.
