Mischief and The Rogue Wave Project present a Burners Without Borders fundraiser -

Thanks for the Dance4Changers!

Blizzards, feh! We laugh at blizzards! And apparently so do a whole freaking lot of you who came out to dance for change at...er...Dance4Change (seriously, even we didn't know we were being that clever ;). A major thank you to Fatback for joining forces with us that night to create an even bigger and badder event!

Seriously, we know it was a pain to get out that night and we really appreciate all the folks who did. Your refusal to go gently into that snowy night is helping out Kenyan men and women half a world away!

Dance4Change is ON! and Fatback DC is in the house!!

Snow will not stop us! In fact, it has only made us stronger.  The rad
kids at Fatback (www.fatbackdc.com) have joined forces with the
Electroganic/Rogue Wave Project dynamic duo to bring you out of your
snow caves and into the den of booty shaking we call Liv this Saturday
night!

We WILL be having Dance4Change: A benefit for Walking with Africans
tomorrow night, so get out those dancing boots and come shake your
groove thang with our killer performance line up.

Three benefits in three weeks...can we make it?!

First and foremost, a big thanks to everyone who made it out to Rock and Roll Hotel last Wednesday to show your support for your local musicians, body painters, and of course Haiti :) You all helped raise over $1,000 for Shelterbox and Partners in Health.

Haiti relief has aftershocks, too!

Wheels are turning at the Rogue Wave Project and Rock and Roll Hotel--we've had a week to assemble some of our favorite talent in the DC area to come together and give you folks a very special night that will include live music, DJs, body painting and more!

Here's the current roster of entertainment we've got lined up for y'all:

Caverns (1030pm-11pm)
Bonjour, Ganesh! (945pm-1015pm)
Loose Lips (9pm-930pm)
The Jones (815pm - 845pm)
Black Dog Prowl (730pm-8pm)
The Courtesans (645-715pm)
Lissy Rosemont (6pm-630pm)

Thanks to Fatback and more Haiti relief at RnR Hotel!

We had only three days to promote it, yet people turned out in force. If you were among the folks who came out to Fatback on Friday night, give yourself a major pat on the back: you helped raise over $1400 for UNICEF's disaster relief efforts for Haiti's children.

Giving to help Haiti - here's what you can do

As the world continues to respond to the crisis in Haiti after Tuesday’s earth quake, The Rogue Wave Project is committed to fundraising and raising awareness about the immediate and long-term needs of the Haitian people as they attempt to rebuild from this most recent natural disaster. We have done research using charity vetting organizations such as charitynavigator.org and have developed a list of recommended charities to donate to for the Haitian relief effort.

Response to Haiti--yep, we want to do something, too.

We've been following the news out of Haiti the past few days and are a world of concerned. Haiti has a long and checkered history that includes a coup or two, extreme poverty, and a dash of environmental degredation to boot. Now that civil services have collapsed and the world is rushing to the rescue, we aim to give the necessary tools to those who are working to save those they can and then begin to rebuild so this earthquake doesn't rock Haiti back to the stone age.

Additional performers for Electroganic confirmed!

In addition to the kickin' beats of two of our favorite local DJs, Sequoia and v:shal, Saturday's Electroganic will feature some of the finest glow performers on the East Coast. DC-based glowspinning troupe Revolutionary Motion has confirmed four performers and tech poi god Chris "Rovo" Bailey will be in attendance.

Remember: bring those old skateboards and safety equipment out of storage to get half off admission to the event! Check out the Facebook event page here.
